The Church of St. Moses (Chiesa di San Moisè) is one of Venice’s most distinctive churches, located just steps from the renowned St. Mark’s Square. Dedicated to Moses—an unusual patron in the Christian tradition—the church reflects a unique aspect of Venetian religious history. Originally founded in the 8th century, San Moisè has been rebuilt several times, with the current structure completed in 1668. It is especially known for its elaborate Baroque façade, considered one of the most ornate in Venice.
