St. Anne's Church: From Ottoman Mosque to Baroque Splendor
When budapest was ruled by the ottomans, this church was converted into a mosque. St. Anne’s Church and Monastery replaced it in the 18th century. A sculpture next to the entrance honors Hungarians who fought in World War I.
The inscription declares, “By the faith of Christ, by the blood of the Faithful, our Country shall rise again!”
